How many boxes of cake mix do I need to make a 3 tier cake?
I'm planning on using pots sizes: 12×2, 9×1 1 / 2, 5 times more than 1 1 / 2. I am also planning to have each level 3 layers of cake. I also would like the higher level than chocolate, the medium vanilla, and lowest for strawberry. Also, I'm going to cover in fondant and I wonder how many pounds I need for this cake.

Yields a typical mix box about 5 cups (may vary depending on brand). So I'd say you need 9 boxes of the mix. Also, I would suggest a 12/9/6 for levels. The use of 5 will leave you with a size difference greater than the next level down.
