Wedding Cake Flavor Advice – A taste or more?
At first I thought it would be fun to have more than one flavor combination for every level of my wedding cake 4 levels. Then, after talking to the baker it occurred to me that perhaps this is too complicated. The baker is happy to do what we want, but how can you pass that offers multiple cake flavors and fillings and get everything right! I think that we (the couple) just choose what we want … a cake flavor and filling … and be done with it. Not having multiple flavors to choose from just create unnecessary confusion for the guests and servers to boot? And the 4 levels get cut to expose the remains of cake instead of cutting you need to serve the guests, right? We'll have a chocolate fountain (with articles dip), fruit, crackers and cheese for snacks after the party is rolling into the night, so there is some variety of treats that are not just pie wedding. Has anyone had a cake tasting multiple wedding? How did it go?
Having multiple flavors should not be confusing to the servers or services restaurant at which
they are professionals and know how to handle weddings. The only suggestion I have is to let the caterers know what flavor each layer
is for servers can let guests know which variant is in their trays. We do not want anyone with allergies to get a piece of cake that should not have. The catering must put each flavor on a tray for the servers know exactly what they taste like. It's not like they will have all four flavors in a tray. Thus there is no confusion. I say go for it.:)
