I need help with a gift basket fondue, which only have what is listed below?

Small Chocolate Fondue set, chocolate fondue, salsa, and a basket. Nothing can be perishable, because the basket will sit out for a day or less. We wanted to make full and enjoyable. Thanks.

I would add a bottle of Kirsch or white wine, maybe a bit of brandy or cognac. I'd say it would be nice cheese, some crackers, maybe a little mustard. I d also write up some recipes for your friend in fancy paper or color. This is really a good idea for a basket. Reduce heat to low. Add the chopped chocolate and 1 tablespoon Grand Marnier, beating until mixture is smooth. Remove fondue from heat and mix remaining 2 tablespoons Grand Marnier.

Transfer fondue the fondue pot. Place on burner candle or canned heat. Serve with chunks of fruit and cake for dipping. Irish Cheddar and Stout Fondue Ingredients: 2 cups 1 – to 1 1/2-inch-diameter red skinned potatoes, halved 2 cups cauliflower florets 2 cups very small brussels sprouts 2 apples, cored, chopped 1 pound Irish cheddar cheese, grated 2 1 / 2 tablespoons flour 3 / 4 cup (or more) Irish stout (Guinness) 6 tablespoons frozen apple juice concentrate, thawed 1 tablespoon mustard Dijon Preparation: Steam all vegetables until tender, about 15 minutes. Arrange vegetables and apples around edge of large platter. Meanwhile, mix the cheese with flour in large bowl. Bring 4.3 cups of stout, juice concentrate, and mustard to simmer in large saucepan over medium heat. Slowly add the mixture cheese, stirring constantly, until cheese is melted and smooth, thinning with more robust, if desired. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Transfer to a bowl fondue. Place in center of platter with vegetables. Classic Swiss Cheese Fondue Ingredients: 1 clove garlic, sliced ??in two 12 oz dry white wine 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice 1 Tbsp. Splash of kirsch cornstarch 14 oz 14 oz shredded Swiss cheese coarsely grated Emmental Cube French bread and sliced ??apples Preparation: Brush a casserole earthenware fondue with garlic. Add wine and lemon juice and bring to a simmer. Mix in a cup kirsch and cornstarch. A low heat, add cheese to pot and stir constantly until melted and smooth. Add the kirsch and stir mixture until night. Transfer to a hot table and serve with bread and apples. Makes 4 servings Caramel-Cognac Fondue Ingredients: 1 / 2 cup sugar 2 tablespoons water 1 1 / 3 cups hot cream 2 tablespoons brandy 1 tablespoon butter fresh strawberries unsalted, sliced ??apples or pears, sliced ??bananas, fresh tangerine segments and carambola slices Preparation: Combine sugar and 2 tablespoons water in a heavy medium saucepan. Stir over low heat until sugar dissolves. Increase heat and boil without stirring until mixture is dark amber, occasionally brushing the sides of pan with wet mass of brush and swirling pan, about 3 minutes. Add warm cream to caramel. Stir over medium-high heat until sauce is smooth and reduced to 1 1 / 4 cups, about 5 minutes. Add brandy and cook 1 minute longer. Remove from heat. Add butter and stir until melted. (Can be prepared 8 hours ahead. Cover and refrigerate. Reheating to medium-low heat before serving.) Transfer sauce to small fondue pot or ceramic bowl fireproof. September pot on the burner candle or canned heat. Serve with strawberries, apples or pears, bananas, tangerine segments and star fruit. For four people. Basic ingredients for cheese fondue: 1 clove garlic, halved 2 c. 2 c. grated Gruyere cheese Emmental cheese, grated 1 c. dry white wine 1 t. lemon juice 1 t. starch corn 2 tablespoons kirsch or brandy dash of ground white pepper pinch of freshly grated nutmeg Preparation: Rub the inside of the fondue pot with the tooth chopped garlic. Add cheese, wine and lemon juice and cook over medium heat until melted and bubbly.

Mix cornstarch and liqueur in a small bowl and add cheese, stirring two or three minutes or until mixture is thickened and smooth. Do not allow the fondue to boil. Season with pepper and nutmeg. Serve with pickles, ham ham and onion marinade. Makes 4 servings. Idaho Potato Wedges with Four Cheese Fondue Ingredients: 4 medium red potatoes from Idaho, cut lengthwise into 8 to 10 skin chopped 1 / 4 cup plus 1 tablespoon salad oil, divided Salt 6 ounces apple wood smoked bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled 1 / 2 cup thinly sliced ??green onions, divided 4.1 cup red bell pepper, 1/4-inch dice 8-10 oz sour cream (optional) Preparation: Mix the potato wedges in oil 1 / 4 cup, add salt and pepper to taste. Spread the mixture on sheet pan. Bake in convection oven 350 degrees until tender and golden brown, about 25 minutes (or about 40 minutes in a conventional oven). Potatoes can be prepared ahead to this point and refrigerated until served. In a heavy saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and remaining tablespoon oil and stir the flour and cook, stirring occasionally, until the color is a very light brown, 6 to 7 minutes. Do not allow mixture to darken or develop a nutty aroma. Beat in Chardonnay and champagne until smooth. Continue simmering until the alcohol is cooked out, about 4 to 5 minutes. Whisk in milk and half and half, continue cooking until thickened, 8 to 10 minutes. Gradually add the cheeses and cook, stirring, until melted and cheese sauce is smooth, about 5 minutes. Add the Kirsch and salt, adjust seasoning to taste. Reserve warm. Just before serving, fry the potato wedges in hot oil at 350 degrees until golden and crisp, about 4 minutes. Drainage. Mix bacon and 1 / 4 cup onions in cheese, reserving the remaining scallions for garnish. Plating: Spoon 3 to 4 ounces of cheese fondue miniature Fondue Pot or melted butter. Garnish with chives and red pepper. 4 Serve with potato wedges and, if desired, a mold of 1 ounce of sour cream for dipping.
