Chocolate Torte Frosting

Glazed chocolate cake?
I can make a flourless chocolate cake one. Usually the cocoa powder and icing sugar to serve. This year, I really want guild the lily and glaze the cake with a chocolate ganache. I've never done this before. I'm looking for that chocolate soft ice cream consistency that comes from pouring the ganache over the cake that is sitting on a rack. The cake is done and time and just give me a shot at this I do it well. Any advice from you professionals on how to do this the right way?
This ganache recipe is from Gourmet magazine. I have used before and is a great sauce for your pastel work quite well. Do not use the Baker brand chocolate on this topic. It sucks. Use good quality chocolate as Scharfenberger or Ghiradelli. You may want to double the recipe only sure you have enough. You can use the remainder for dipping strawberries. 1 / 2 cup heavy cream 8 oz bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped 1 tablespoon unsalted butter A small saucepan, heat cream over low heat. In a bowl pour the cream over low heat the chopped chocolate. Add butter and stir until smooth.
